DELPH Sonar Interpretation


DELPH Sonar Interpretation is the most advanced side-scan sonar data processing and interpretation package in the industry. It processes any side-scan sonar data in a powerful yet intuitive 2D/3D multi-sensor geo-referenced software environment. DELPH Sonar can be used as a post-processing tool as well as a real-time QC tool during data acquisition.

DELPH highly optimized workflow offers massive time savings in processing, mapping and interpreting side-scan sonar data. It allows a full automation of all time-consuming tasks with batch processing and reporting functions. Still, it offers a quick access to the finest details.
DELPH Sonar also offers smart ways of interpreting data: DELPH Contact Manager offers intuitive drag & drop classification of sonar targets with manual or automatic measurements, easing the interpretation job on small to very large datasets by reducing software manipulations.

DELPH Sonar Interpretation provides all necessary outputs from printing to reporting and mapping in industry standard formats (mosaics, target maps, CSV and HTML target reports, etc.). It is the perfect tool for side-scan sonar data analysis and further reporting.

In real-time and post-processing, DELPH Sonar features a powerful geographic visualization software: DELPH RoadMap. It overlays all sonar information (2D/3D track lines, coverage, mosaics, interpretation and targets) with all other geo-referenced survey data like bathymetry, sub-bottom profiler, magnetic maps, aerial photography or coastline contours. DELPH RoadMap also embeds graphical interpretation tools (polygons, polylines, points and 3D models) and DELPH Sonar automatic classification tool.

Target Analysis capabilities

DELPH Contact Manager software displays thumbnails of all targets per type or category with advanced filtering and reporting functions. It gives an instant access to DELPH Contact Analizer for target analysis, measurement and classification. Drag & Drop makes target classification operations easier and save time and efforts. Reporting capabilities range from snapshot and printing to text and HTML reporting of all interpreted targets and features. DELPH Sonar also generates target maps in standard GIS and CAD formats.

Sonar mosaic generation

The mosaicking process is highly optimized to quickly generate high-quality sonar maps. DELPH natively produces geographic layers in common standard formats that seamlessly integrate any GIS platform. Google Earth® export of all data (mosaics, interpretation, targets, etc.) eases the sharing of survey results and overlay of most information layers (aerial photography, buildings, geological maps, etc.).

Visualization capabilities

Adjustable transparency and vertical scales of all layers enriches the interpretation of vertical data (sub bottom, bathymetry, 3D models) together with side-scan data and magnetic anomaly maps.
