A HIGH-QUALITY, EASY-TO-USE SIDE-SCAN SONAR DATA LOGGER


Recording optimum-quality data can be a challenge, especially when simultaneously supervising several pieces of equipment. DELPH Sonar Acquisition features an easy-to-read display and indicates the status, nature and severity of problems when they occur. It provides also greater stability to the core logging functions of the application. Software setup for acquisition is made easy and mistakes that may corrupt the raw data are minimized.

DELPH Sonar Acquisition software accurately time-stamps the acquired sonar data, and provides efficient quality control functions for data collection and logging operations.
 
DELPH Sonar Acquisition is the tool of choice for:

  • Controlling acquisition settings using a dedicated user interface for every sensor,
  • Monitoring signal quality using an oscilloscope display with zoom capability,
  • Monitoring the side-scan sonar image in a waterfall display with selectable look-up table, contrast level and scale. Automatic contrast enhancement is also available,
  • Monitoring the navigation and ancillary sensors,
  • Monitoring the acquisition, logging and navigation processes


 
Driver-based configuration
DELPH Sonar Acquisition has dedicated drivers and settings for each equipment including:
  • Any Edgetech® side-scan sonar (4200, 4125, etc.) and combined systems
  • Klein® side-scan sonars (3000, 3900, 5000)
  • C-MAX® CM2 side-scan sonar
  • SonarBeam® 100/400 and 400/1250 digital sonars
  • 16-bit and 24-bit analog interfaces
  • Other interfaces on request
 
Quality Control User-Interface
DELPH Sonar Acquisition has a resolutely simplified user interface, still providing key survey information and quality control tools:
  • Monitoring of the signal quality using a signal scope display with zoom capability,
  • Monitoring the sonar waterfall in a scrolling display with selectable look-up table, contrast level and scale. Automatic contrast enhancement is also available,
  • Monitoring of the navigation and ancillary sensors,
  • Monitoring the acquisition, logging and navigation processes,
  • Visual alarms based on real-time information (signal saturation, depth, altitude, storage space, navigation, etc.)
 
Data logging to industry standard formats
DELPH Sonar Acquisition natively records the raw data to major industry standard format:
  • XTF
  • Automatic file switching functions (size, duration, KP)
  • Automatic file naming
 
Ancillary equipment interfacing
DELPH Sonar Acquisition easily interfaces auxilliary sensors and devices:
  • Native support for main NMEA and industry standard protocols (RS-232 and Ethernet)
  • Intuitive User-Defined protocol editor for extending DELPH support to other sensors
  • Profile output to thermal plotters
